I don’t know about you, but 2015 is already shaping up to be an awesome year! I feel like this is the perfect time to share this video about starting a new chapter. I have narrowed it down to 3 quick tips that I hope you find helpful. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Let me start by saying, I love to read, write, spell etc. I LOVE WORDS! (Now that I got that out) I felt like it was a natural progression to include a book review on this blog. I’m excited about sharing my thoughts on some of the many books that I read. I have a great line up this year so if you’re looking for great reads stay tuned…….
As I stated above, I’m an avid reader and ever so often, I read something that actually sinks in. This book changed my life. It shifted my way of thinking and although it’s an easy read, I use it as a textbook. I often pull it off the shelf for reference and it’s full of colors from all my highlighted notes. It’s simple yet insightful. Trust Me, this is a must read!
Thanks for checking out my video review and until next time, I wish you Wisdom, Strength and Balance.
Let me start by wishing you a Happy New Year! I am convinced that 2015 is going to be awesome! I have personally named this the “Year of Action”. If you’re like me, you already have a list of ideas and projects you want to do in the next twelve months.
Here are 5 great tips to help you get them done.
Step One: Write It Down!
Get those ideas down on paper. Once you have them in front of you, you don’t have to worry about it slipping your mind. Let’s face it we are fed tons of information daily. It’s inevitable that some of it may get lost or buried. So write things down and create some mental white space.
Step Two: Schedule it!
Take time to put relevant dates on a calendar. This will create an emotional attachment. This simple step will take your lofty ideas to weighted goals.
Step Three: Just Say No!
The one thing that levels the playing field for me, you and all the uber successful people of the world is the fact that we all only get 24 hour a day. There is no one on the face of this planet that gets 36 or 48 hours in a day. It’s what we do with them that matter. Often times we are consumed with everyone else’s agenda that we don’t have time for our own. Take some time to evaluate upcoming commitments and events that you can afford to turn down. This can be difficult. However, remember that everything you say yes to means you are saying no to something else.
Step Four: Connect with Another Visionary.
Nobody wants to show up for a meeting with their portion of work undone. So find another person to share your ideas with, someone who will keep you accountable. This can be a quick meeting (or even a phone call) to go review tasks.
Step Five: Get Started!
The most successful people never feel ready – they just go! Doing something you’re “not ready” for will pull you forward in your vision.
On your mark, get set GO!!!
